What this covers

Lathes, presses and bench machinery from workshops. Catering extraction and ductwork from pubs and restaurants. Pallet racking and shelving from warehouses. Roll cages. Trailer decking and ramps. Garage equipment. Fabricated steel frames and gates. The photographs on this site include a galvanised loading platform in Polmadie, extraction ductwork outside a city centre pub and trailer decking in Garscadden.

Access and lifting

Machinery is where planning matters most. We need to know the rough weight, whether the item is on the ground or needs to come down a ramp or stair, whether there is forklift or pallet truck access, and whether the yard has height or width limits. A photo and a few measurements is normally enough for us to say what we can lift and how.

Oil-filled machinery should be drained where practical. Hydraulic rams and gearboxes can be left in place.

Free, or agreed first

Machinery and industrial metal is collected free as standard. Anything that needs extra labour, special lifting or a second vehicle is discussed and agreed before we come, never on the day.

Questions about this

Can you dismantle machinery on site?

We can break down bolted items to get them out, but we do not carry out cutting or demolition on your premises. Tell us what is involved and we will say what is possible.

We do not have a forklift. Is that a problem?

Usually not. Most items can be moved with the equipment we bring. For very heavy plant we will discuss options before booking.
