Avram Metals is a family-run scrap metal collection business based in Glasgow. When you call or text 07876 708929 you speak to the person who will turn up. Nothing is passed to a subcontractor, and there is no call centre between you and the van.

The work is straightforward: people and businesses across Glasgow and the surrounding towns have metal they need gone, and we come and lift it. Standard collection is free, and it is collection only: there is no yard to visit, we come to you.

How a collection is handled

We ask for a postcode and a photo, because those two things let us give an honest answer about timing and cost. Standard collection is free; if a job involves something beyond a standard lift, such as carrying a heavy appliance down several floors, we say so before booking. On the day we lift and load everything ourselves, and where steel needs cutting to fit the van we cut it on site.

Where the metal goes

Every load is taken to an authorised metal recycling facility. Nothing is passed on to anyone who should not have it and nothing is fly-tipped. Ferrous metal is sorted and recycled into new steel; copper, brass, aluminium and lead go on to non-ferrous processors.
