Gates, railings and garden metal collection
Yes. Old gates, railings, metal fence panels, garden furniture, petrol and electric lawnmowers, bikes, bed frames, shelving and general household iron and steel are all collected free from gardens, driveways and closes.

This is the everyday scrap that builds up around a house: a rusted gate leaning against the shed, a metal bed frame after a bedroom refit, two bikes nobody rides, a broken rotary dryer, a barbecue, a wheelbarrow, filing cabinets from the spare room. Individually none of it is worth a trip to the tip. Together it fills a van.
Wrought iron gates and railings, cast iron garden furniture and steel fencing are heavier than they look and are ideal for us to collect rather than for you to move.
Before we collect
A little sorting helps, but do not go to any trouble.
- Drain fuel from petrol lawnmowers and strimmers.
- Remove wooden or plastic parts only if it is easy; mixed items with a metal frame are fine.
- Gather everything in one place we can reach from the street: front garden, drive, close or side path.
- Send a photo so we can size the van load.

Questions about this
Do items need to be all metal?
No. A garden bench with a metal frame and wooden slats, or a bike with plastic mudguards, is fine. We do not take items that are mostly wood or plastic with a few screws in them.
Can you take down my old fence or gate?
We collect metal that has already been removed. We do not do demolition or dismantling on site.
