What we collect
Old boiler and hot water cylinder collection
Yes. We collect disconnected boilers, copper hot water cylinders and cold water tanks from homes, flats and trade jobs across Glasgow, normally free of charge.
Cylinder, radiators and boiler left outside after a heating upgrade · August 2026Which boilers we take
Gas combi boilers, system boilers, regular boilers, back boilers that have already been removed from the fireplace, oil boilers and electric boilers. Age and condition do not matter; a boiler that has been sitting in a garage for two years is as welcome as one a heating engineer took off the wall this morning.
Hot water cylinders are usually copper. If you have a cylinder together with a boiler, radiators and pipework from the same job, tell us and we will take the lot in one visit.
Before we collect
The boiler must already be disconnected from the gas, water and electricity supplies by a suitably qualified engineer. We do not disconnect appliances and we will not remove a boiler that is still connected. Once it is off the wall or out of the cupboard, that is all the preparation required.
- Have the boiler disconnected and removed from its fixings by a Gas Safe registered engineer (or an electrician for electric boilers).
- Drain cylinders and tanks if you can; a little residual water is fine.
- Leave the casing on. You do not need to strip anything.
- Tell us whether it is on the ground floor, upstairs or in a loft space so we bring the right number of hands.
Collected at the same time
Most boiler replacements produce more scrap than the boiler itself: old radiators, the cylinder, copper pipe offcuts, a header tank, brass valves and fittings. We would rather collect it all in one go than come back twice, and heating engineers often leave the pile at the property for us to lift after the new system is commissioned.

Questions about this
Is boiler collection free?
Yes, for boilers that are disconnected and on the ground floor or outside. If a heavy floor-standing boiler has to be carried down from an upper floor, tell us in advance and we will confirm whether any labour charge applies before booking.
Can you take a boiler that is still on the wall?
No. Disconnection must be done by a qualified engineer. Once it is off the wall, call or text us.
Do you take the copper cylinder as well?
Yes. Cylinders, header tanks and copper pipework from the same job are collected along with the boiler and radiators.
