What we do not take
Fridges and freezers
They contain refrigerant gases that need specialist handling. Use your council bulky uplift or the retailer delivering your new one.
Cars and car parts
Avram does not scrap vehicles or supply parts.
Anything else you are unsure about: text a photo and we will tell you straight away.
Will you take…? The questions people ask most
Do you take microwaves?
Yes, along with other metal. On its own a microwave is not worth a van trip; with a washing machine, radiators or garden metal it is.
Do you take washing machines and cookers?
Yes. Free from the ground floor. A small labour charge may apply if one has to be carried down several flights, and we say so before booking.
Do you take fridges and freezers?
No. Refrigerant gases need specialist handling. Your council bulky uplift or the retailer delivering the new one can take them.
Do you take cast iron baths?
Yes, including from upstairs. Tell us the floor. Cast iron is heavy and low in value, which is why it is collected free rather than bought.
Do you take bikes, bed frames and exercise equipment?
Yes. Anything with a metal frame. Wooden or plastic parts attached are fine.
Does it have to be all metal?
No. Items that are mostly metal are fine. Things that are mostly wood or plastic with a few screws in them are not.
Do you take cars or car parts?
No. We do not scrap vehicles or supply parts. Alloy wheels on their own are collected.
Is one item enough?
Often, if the van is passing. Text a photo and your postcode and we will say honestly.
